After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Brg̈mesí Tastri struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Noftaf Rak Vrët as a prison colony.
Noftaf Rak Vrët was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Noftaf Rak Vrët is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brick construction taking the shape of large simple gemometric shapes which ate then embelished with decorative features, but retain their simple shapes in spite of the added features such as pillars, faccaddes, and covered walkways. The blocky nature gives a general impression of extreem age, as if each structure has existed since time immemorial.
Noftaf Rak Vrët is buildings are arranged arround a single spacious gravel mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the town a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The town has a fortified albit thin brick wall. The wall has most of the feeatures of a typical castle wall, just on a much smaller scale and and budget. Notably brick isn't a particuarly soild choice for resisting siege weapons. Noftaf Rak Vrët's wall wouldn't hinder a proper army, but it is more than sufishent for bandits and other small marauding groups. Astonishigly, the monster and outlaw focused fortifications are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.
A look around Noftaf Rak Vrët makes it abundantly clear the town suffered something horrible some time ago. It’s a quiet town filled with closed scriptoriums, people quietly yet dejectedly reading in isolated places around town, and the occasional book laying in a heap of garbage.
